Angel Genao, SS, Guardians: Genao made Guardians history on Wednesday, becoming the first player in team history to have four hits in their major league debut. Genao finished the game 4-for-5, with one run and one run batted in. The switch-hitting Genao wasted no time getting his first career hit, lining a first-pitch breaking ball to right-center field for a single in the third inning. In the fifth inning, he beat the shift, pushing a fastball away down the third base line for another single.  Genao recorded his first hit batting righthanded in the sixth inning, grounding a slider past the diving shortstop. He flipped back to lefthanded to record his fourth hit in the seventh, lining a fastball down the left-field line with a runner on third to tie the game. The Mets finally retired him in the ninth, getting him to fly out to center field. Overall, four of his five at-bats ended in hard-hit balls as he showed off his knack for solid contact and strong bat-to-ball skills

11806 Steps. Weight 168#. 73 Degrees

5:00 AM, awake, let Gizmo and Bobbit outside. 73 degrees. Made a cup of coffee. Turned on my computers.

6:30 AM, updated the Blow Out Baseball Card Forum, 6 new members.

6:45 AM, Walks: 8,000-step walk. Nice walking weather. I saw 1/8 of a rainbow. Sent a picture to Jason then he called me.

8:30 AM, breakfast… 2 eggs on toast. 9:00 AM, reviewing KPIs, updated my Journal for 08/06/2026.

11:00 AM, Teams Meeting with Dominick. Still writing Call and Supplier Reports.

2:00 PM, Drove to Costco.

2:30 PM, heavy rain moved thru the area.

3:30 PM, used a box as an umbrella to get my Costco groceries to my car. Drove to Publix.

4:00 PM, home, separated bacon, pork chops and sausage links into meal portions and put them in the freezer.

7:00 PM, watched an episode of Star City.

Good Things (Little Victories) that happened today:

1. Relatively cool morning, excellent for a walk.   
2. Saw part of a rainbow during my walk.   

10:00 PM: Good night!
