Friday 11/01/2019. What Happened Today?

Part 1

Current reading and listening list: Reading- The Ridge by Michael Koryta, Blood Brothers by Nora Roberts. Listening to: Unsouled by Will Wight, when I’m in my office and The Bloody Genius by John Sandford, Abaddon’s Gate by James S. A. Corey and The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides while walking.

Part 2

Up at 5:00 AM. Updated my daily Goal Sheets, iPads, and Android phone. Worked on my Journal. 3648 total steps yesterday. Left the hotel around 7:00. Still dark. Temperature 37 degrees. Drove south on 75. Low tire pressure light came on. Stopped at exit 109 for gas and MacDonald’s breakfast… sausage, egg and cheese biscuit plus a large black coffee with a shot of espresso. Could not tell which tire had low pressure.

Part 3

Sun came up around 7:30 AM and it got warmer as I drove south. After I reached my half way point… Interstate 10… I called Kay. Eta was around 1:00 PM. Talked with Mitch Draving who took Chris Howard’s position at Borcher’s. I don’t have a good history with Mitch. I called Chris Howard to alert him of the new hire by Borcher’s. He also has had a bad experience with Mitch in the past. (Mitch tried to switch our biggest customer on Duramite to #10 White. Duramite, although a higher cost, was the best choice for this particular customer. At the time Mitch was working for IMERYS and I banned him from coming to Florida and working with us at Gulf Coast Chemical.)

Part 4

Home around 1:15 PM. Said hi to Kay and Gizmo and Bobbitt. The dogs watched me unpack so they could make sure I was staying home for a while.  Sent my time sheet to Ed Campbell. Dialed into Fandango online and bought a movie ticket to see the new Terminator movie on Sunday. Kay said I had a BLT sub in the fridge which I ate… really good!! We watched an episode of the Preacher and Channel 10 News. Pierre and Gustavo came over around 6:00 PM so Pierre could do Kay’s and Yvonne’s hair. Einstok beer. In bed 9:30 PM.
